Following on from the earlier post about OS Cricket, we would also like to draw your attention to the Old Suttonian Rifle Association's participation in the annual Veterans Match at Bisley Shooting Ground on Thursday 15th July.
This is an opportunity for all ex-SVS shooters to compete against old rivals in the heartland of fullbore shooting. No membership to the National Rifle Association or OSRA is required as the shoot counts as a ‘guest day’ in the eyes of the NRA. As the OSRA has all of the equipment needed (including a number of competitive target rifles), all you would need to do is pay for your shoot, at a cost of around £20.00.
Back in 2018, at the OSRA's inaugural shoot, the club fielded three full teams of five, a record that they are hoping to match, if not exceed, this year. The shoot will be followed by drinks and possibly a meal at a Bisley clubhouse.
If you are interested, please contact the OSRA Club Captain, Anthony Bromley (2014 W).
