Congratulations to Old Suttonian Richard Kerrigan (2003 H), whose first book will be released on 7th June this year. Entitled Crush Calories in 20 Minutes, Richard's book is an all-round fitness and nutrition guide providing simple, calorie-counted recipes, workouts and mindset hacks.
Richard left SVS to study catering and hospitality at Thanet College. During this time, he was lucky enough to be selected to go and work at Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle at some of the most prestigious events in the world, including the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall's wedding and several state visits including that of President George W. Bush.
Richard subsequently worked as a Demi Chef de Partie at the Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath. Whilst there, the long hours and unhealthy lifestyle of kitchen work led him to develop a passion for fitness, which resulted in him becoming a personal trainer. Leaning on both his fitness expertise and earlier work as a chef, he has been able to create this book, which showcases simple, delicious dishes to suit those with busy lifestyles.
