I'm looking foward to displaying my 1958 Series one Landrover at the SVS Car Show.
I've owned this Landy for about three years, harking back to the earlier days of my childhood on the farm.
The history to hand for this Landy starts in 1998 when it was bought for £200 as a plie of bits in a scrap yard by a previous owner. He was planning an overland trip to Syria and fancied doing it in an S1 rather than his later S3 model. He substituted a Massey Ferguson tractor diesel engine for economy, in place of the original petrol engine. 10,000 miles later, over nine months, he arrived back in Blighty.
I know of at least one more Series 1 Landy coming to the Show. If you have a farm vehicle with an interesting history, there is still time to enter the Show.
