Congratulations to Old Suttonian Peter Bannister (2013 H), pictured here at our Careers Convention in 2017, who has co-authored a study focused on the worrying increase in skin cancer cases in the UK.

The study, conducted by Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) where Peter studies, has discovered that the number of cases among men has gone up five-fold and the number of cases in women has risen by 250%, driven by increases in those aged 35 and over.

The study was recently published in The Lancet Regional Health – Europe and was featured on Sky News this week. For more information, please see here.
