We are delighted to report that Old Suttonian Chris Dale (2007 C) has recently been appointed as reserve to the English Twenty Lions Squad programme for target rifle shooting. The Lions Squad is a talent pathway designed to train up-and-coming shooters to the standard of potentially being selected to represent England in the annual National Match at Bisley.
Chris, who has been shooting with the Old Suttonian Rifle Association for three years, started shooting for Kent earlier this year, which helped him to get spotted by the Lions organisers. This is a fantastic achievement for Chris and for the OSRA, with Chris being the second Old Suttonian to join the Lions Squad - Dr Anthony Bromley (2014 W, Staff 2021-) having been in the previous cycle.
We wish Chris the best of luck in his training, which starts next weekend; he will undoubtedly do the OSRA proud.
