After another successful OS Hockey event, it was great to see Old Suttonians back in action over the May bank holiday weekend as England Hockey held the national club championship finals across the country.
Rehannah Houghton-Judge (2018 L), alongside teammates who also attended Sutton Valence Preparatory School, represented Maidstone against a strong Sheffield side in the Womens' Tier 2 Plate final.
At Lee Valley, numerous Suttonians (young and old) competed for their respective cup finals for Knole Park HC. Evie Smith (2026 H) played in the Womens' Tier 2 Cup match against Guildford for their final clash of the season. Despite excellent attacking pressure from Evie and her team, Guildford came away with a narrow victory.
Knole Park 2s continued to showcase Sutton Valence School with three currents pupils and Ellie Sagrott (2013 F, Staff 2019-) and faced Triton in their Womens' Tier 4 Cup final. After a tense first half, Knole Park 2s came back to win 3-1 and take home the silverware.
Meanwhile at the Nottingham Hockey Centre, Gary Wellings (Staff 2017-) was crowned national champion in the Men’s over 55s plate final against Clifton Robinsons.
