Last weekend saw the School host its biennial Car Show on Upper. This time around over 40 vehicles were exhibited by a range of parents, grandparents and Old Suttonians. Throughout the event, attendees were invited to vote for their ‘vehicle of the day’, which resulted in a comprehensive victory for the 1933 Peterson Bentley Blue Train Speed Six; a replica of the vehicle that raced the famous Blue Train from the Côte d ‘Azure to Northern France back in the 1930s. The winner, Mr Streek, a current parent of the School, collected his prize from the Headmaster during the parade lap past the Pavilion on Upper.
The event benefitted greatly from the beautiful weather on the day, as guests were able to indulge not only in the Car Show, but also the 1st XI versus Old Suttonian cricket match which was also taking place on Upper. We would like to thank everyone who came along to support the event, either as exhibitors, or simply as guests. It was a great family event, and we look forward to building on it for 2018!
