We are sad to announce that Old Suttonian Bob Dockerty (1960 M) died on 22 November 2022. Bob, whose family originally farmed the Hever Castle Estate, was a successful and very characterful entrepreneur and established the well-known Larkins Brewery, near Edenbridge, using the hops grown on his land. The Brewery celebrated it's 35th anniversary recently and goes from strength-to-strength. Bob (who was know by many as "Fred" during his time at the School) was also a great car enthusiast, owning a rare and exotic Facel Vega car, and following historic car events including the Goodwood Revival.

Fellow Old Suttonian and SVS Foundation President Douglas Horner (1962 M) remembered him as a great character and friend to many and one wholse talent might easily be underestimated by his convivial, unassuming manner. He also loved a party! He was also remembered fondly by Richard Mant (1961 M) who joined the School alongside Bob in 1957, when they were the only two new boys in Bennett.

He is survived by his sister and will be greatly missed by all.
