Last Saturday, we were delighted to host a Leavers’ Ball for the first time in three years. Stoney was transformed by a spectacular marquee, decorated by the Friends of SVS Ball Committee.
With final preparations complete that afternoon, the sun was still shining as the guests arrived in their finery. Once there, they were treated to a delicious meal, courtesy of the Curious Eatery, and a spectacular fireworks display by the Bursar, before dancing the night away. As well as a DJ, the night also included the School’s very own Upper Sixth Band (George A, Joseph G and Alexander T), who performed a fantastic six-song set to get the dancing started.
It was a truly fitting way to say goodbye to our Upper Sixth leavers and we are grateful to everyone who joined us on the night. A special mention should go to the organising committee (Jackie Browning, Sally Barr, Sarah Connell, Jane Farrell and Mel Russell), for all of their hard work to make the event the success that it was.
