Sutton Valence School was delighted to attend the Weald of Kent Ploughing Match last weekend, held at Hedgebury Farm in Woodchurch.

This was the furthest the event has taken us from the School during our five years of attending the Ploughing Match, making it particularly pleasing that our stand was busier than ever. Throughout the day, we welcomed a wonderful mix of current parents, past parents, Old Suttonians and members of staff, providing a great opportunity to catch up with familiar faces and make new connections within the wider Sutton Valence community.

A particular highlight was our dedicated Old Suttonian reception at 11.30am, which was very well-attended. It was a pleasure to see so many former pupils coming together, sharing memories and enjoying the opportunity to reconnect with the School and with one another. We were also grateful for the support of Headmaster James Thomas and Head of Senior School David Sansom, who joined us at the event and helped make the day such a success.

Our special thanks go to Charles Tassell (1977 F) for all his help and support throughout the day. His contribution was invaluable in helping to make our presence at the Ploughing Match such a successful and enjoyable occasion.

The Weald of Kent Ploughing Match continues to be an important fixture in the School’s calendar, providing a valuable opportunity to strengthen our relationships with the wider Sutton Valence community. We look forward to returning next year.
