We were delighted to welcome nearly 30 of our Old Suttonians leavers from 1940 to 1965, together with OS from all generations who knew Ian Kay and several of our governors, for the Ian Kay Luncheon at the RAF Club, Picadilly. After a superb lunch, we were treated to a wonderful talk by David Pickard (Staff 1977-2001, 2009-2015), celebrating some of our Old Suttonian war heroes, which was very fitting as we approach the 80th anniversary of VE Day and given the venue. It was also a time to remember absent friends who are no longer with us, as well as to reminisce about School days and beyond.

This is the SVS Foundation's longest running event, with it now being in its 30th year. Details of the history of this event can be found on the recent Event Page. Finally, thanks go to Air Cmdr Rick Peacock-Edwards OBE (1957 F) for hosting us and to David Dodd (1951 M), Douglas Horner DL (1962 M) and John McCormick (Staff 1964-2005) for the toasts and Grace. We look forward to meeting up again together next year.
